Pizzelles are always out at Christmas and around the table for all to enjoy. Sometimes they even come out in the summer, acting as a cone for ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 6 Eggs

  • 3.5 Cups Flour

  • 1.5 Cups Sugar

  • 1 Cup Margarine

  • 4 Tsp Baking Powder

  • 2 Tbs Anise

Directions

  • Melt Butter
  • Melt the butter into a sauce pan, adding in the anise.
  • Create the egg mix
  • Beat Eggs
  • Add Sugar gradually
  • Beat until smooth.
  • Add the melted and cooled margarine mix
  • Combine Dry Ingredients
  • Sift Flour
  • Add Baking Powder
  • Combine All Ingredients
  • Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients. The dough should be thick.
  • Add to pizzelle or waffle maker and cook based upon the machine’s instructions.
